Job DescriptionAssigned to support the 189th Division Sustainment Support Battalion (DSSB), the Supply Technician is responsible for conducting logistical assessments in supply accountability and asset visibility procedures and resolving issues encountered.
The Supply Technician will be responsible for the day-to-day activities by using organizational resources to determine best practices for program execution and make decisions in accordance with the contracted work statement.
Works with a framework of established supply regulations, policies, and procedures to resolve issues encountered.
Perform duties involving request, receive, storage, issue accountability, and preservation of individual organization installation facilities and expendable durable property and equipment, operating and maintaining the GCCSS-Army for accountability organizational and installation property and equipment.
The Supply Technician will manage the Care of Supplies in Storage (COSIS) program to support installation needs.
Must be prepared to perform other duties as assigned by the Installation Supply Support Activity Supervisor to meet organizational/operational objectives.
Works with a framework of established supply regulations, policies, and procedures and resolves issues encountered.
Required to screen DODAAC requests for installation organizations for correctness.
Perform duties and responsibilities of the Installation DODAAC Coordinator.
Provide analysis and coordinate with national to acquire material for supported customer units.
Monitor, manage, and direct excess material supporting the Supply Support Activity.
Contact and request assistance from National for pending requisitions in the supply chain.
Purge overage requisitions in GCSS-Army for installation organizations.
Coordinate, request, and assist Supply Support Activities with the referral process.
Resolve conflicts with overdue shipments to the Supply Support Activity.
Ensures compliance with all properly authenticated directives within established guidelines.
Responsible for being the assigned work area's Subject Matter Expert (SME).
Operates Material Handling Equipment (forklifts) 2,000-6,000lbs.
Performs Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) before, during, and after using forklifts.
Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications High School diploma Five years of supply operations/ logistical experience GCSS-A certified at the SSA level Able to attain a Common Access Card (CAC) Valid state driver's license U.

Citizen Ability to oversee a division or brigade-sized operation's day-to-day logistics, maintenance, and transportation activities.
Experience and moderate knowledge of governing regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions in Supply Procedures.
